This is the first Mother's Day without my mother and grandmother, and my first Mother's Day as a mom. Bittersweet.
We went out to lunch and had a nice time. Samuel went out to fetch breakfast and took care of whomever was cranky during the day. As a gift I got initial necklaces (j and c) and an opal charm in honor of the twins birthstone.
Every day should be Mother's Day.
C'etait une bonne journee, malgre le fait que ma propre maman m'a manque terriblement.
C'est la premiere fete des meres sans ma mere et ma grand-mere, et la premiere fete des meres en tant que maman. Un plaisir amer.
Nous sommes alles dejeuner au restaurant et c'etait bien. Samuel a amene le petit dejeuner et a pris soin des bebes en pleurs pendant la journee, quel mari parfait! Comme cadeau, il m'a offert un collier avec des initiales (J et C) et une pierre Opal en l'honner de leur naissance.
Chaque jour devrait etre une fete des meres
